Mr. Ryan Thomas

Hello!

I am currently in my fourth year of teaching, but was fortunate enough to teach in the Spring of 2018 at Edgerton Public School. Prior to completing my education degree at the University of Alberta, I attended the University of Victoria and obtained a Bachelor of Science with a combined major in Physics and Astronomy. Although my passions in life have guided me to teaching, I will forever have a deep rooted interest in exploring concepts that have to do with space and physics in my pursuit of lifelong learning. As I begin my teaching journey in Edgerton, I hope to bring my experience and time into the classroom to give my students a glimpse at life beyond of the classroom. Ultimately I hope to inspire my students to struggle and persevere in the pursuit of higher understanding. As Galileo intended when proclaiming that "You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself," my greatest triumph as an educator will be encouraging others to achieve what they once thought impossible. I look forward to an excellent year with my students and fellow staff members, and am always free to discuss any of my students or your needs.
